Explore the Artisan Resource Center
Friday, November 20 - Sunday, November 22. Artists will
be offering mini-workshops, performances,
demonstrations, and showcasing their new work. From
jewelry, birdhouses, flame worked glass, paintings, wood
turning, metal sculpture or fine furniture - there will
be much to see and do!
During this 3 day event, a focus will be
placed on the "storytellers" of the center. The public
will have the opportunity to listen as a Mayan Indian
and Cherokee Indian weave together traditional tales
with song to reveal a bit of history, truth and life
lessons, and see a Telly Award winning filmmaker share
his stories on the big screen. Attendees will see work
by painters using allegorical imagery, photographers and
artists exhibiting images of faces, hear colorful
southern roots tales from local artists and writers, and
even catch a show of children's theatre or some old
fashion burlesque .
